Grammar & ChatGPT for Effective Business Writing
Good grammar is the foundation of clear writing and clear writing is essential for workplace communication. ChatGPT is increasingly used in the workplace to ensure accuracy in grammar, and punctuation. Mastering the foundations of good grammar, and the skills of using ChatGPT to edit and enhance your written communication will elevate your productivity at work.
For the foundations of good grammar, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the English sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, tense agreement, and voice agreement. You will also learn about the functions of different types of punctuation in the English grammar and how to use punctuation effectively.
After mastering the foundations of good grammar and punctuation, we will have a hands-on ChatGPT workshop. Guidance on setting up an account, using effective prompts to enhance business writing at the workplace, and evaluating the usefulness of ChatGPT will be covered.
This course will be beneficial for anyone who desires to write and present confidently in clear English, and keep up with the current digital landscape by learning to use ChatGPT to enhance workplace productivity.

Overview of the importance of grammar in the business context/at work. This workshop progresses from learning about the macro (sentence) to micro (words and punctuation/capitalisation)

- Learn about the three types of sentences, why it is important to use a variety of sentences in business documents and how to use these different types of sentences appropriately.
- Learn how to avoid common issues associated with writing sentence
- Focus on words
- Understand how to ensure subject-verb agreement in writing.
- Learn about pronoun agreement in writing.
- Learn about voice, tenses and mood agreement in writing.
- Focus on punctuation
- Learn about the functions and correct usage of these English punctuation.

Minimum Entry Requirements
– No prior experience or knowledge required
– Secondary school level onwards
– Be able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4
