FAQs on Virtual Classroom

What would you like to know about our virtual classrooms?

General

A virtual classroom is an online learning environment that allows live interaction between our trainers and yourself as you communicate, interact, and collaborate with one another remotely from any location.

Unlike in-person training, which requires you to be physically present at the training venue, you can now learn via our virtual classrooms from the convenience of your home. Virtual classrooms are just as engaging as in-person training, with a variety of online learning technologies that can help to enhance your learning.

You can speak normally or use public or private integrated chat to communicate with the trainer and other learners. You can also ask questions, participate in polls, and even work on class activities in breakout rooms. Everything works the same, as if you are attending an in-person training.

Don’t worry! We will be conducting free familiarisation sessions to help you get familiar with the different features/functionalities available in Zoom.

Yes, you will be issued a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course via virtual classroom.

Registration and Confirmation of Course

You may register for our courses via their respective pages. We are using Skilleto, which is a training management platform, to process all registrations and payment. Please note that registrations will only be processed by EON upon completion of the payment.

You will be informed of the course status approximately 7 – 10 working days before the actual training date. Our training administrator will provide you with more details once the course has been confirmed.

Upon confirmation of the course, our training administrator will get in touch with you to arrange for the course materials to be couriered to your registered address, as indicated on the course registration form.

Technical Setup and Requirements

EON uses Zoom, a web-conferencing tool, to deliver our lessons synchronously via virtual classrooms. Prior to the actual training dates, you may download and install the Zoom app using the following link: https://zoom.us/download

The recommended system requirements to ensure effective learning via virtual classrooms include:

  1. An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
  2. Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
  3. A webcam or HD webcam – built-in or USB plug-in

While you may access the virtual classroom on a mobile device, it is advisable that you access it on your computer/laptop to ensure effective learning.

On the actual training date, you are strongly encouraged to join the virtual classroom at least 10 minutes before class time by clicking on the Zoom Meeting Link or entering the Zoom Meeting ID provided to you. It would help if you had already tested your system prior to the class so you know everything will work.

You may contact any of our staff using the live webchat function at our website. Alternatively, you may also get in touch with the training administrator in-charge by replying to the course confirmation email.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or chat with us using our Live Webchat function.

Does it feel like everything has come to a sudden standstill? What are you to do with your time? Online learning via virtual classrooms helps you to get back on track and develop the skills you will need when you take on the world again.

Hi there!

Thank you for visiting us. I’m sure you’re on this page because you’re curious about our Virtual Classrooms and what we might have in store for you.

As business starts to gradually take on a more familiar form of operation for many of us during the opening phases after the Circuit Breaker, our training sessions are also doing the same to adapt to these changes.

Depending on the allowance we’re given to operate as we used to, Virtual Classrooms (VC) might still be the go-to form of training for the time being, until further notice.

You may refer to this page to explore all of our courses.

If you’d like to clarify any concerns, please feel free to drop us an email at [email protected].

Thank you for your kind understanding.
