Setting Up a Salary Structure for Equitable Compensation Management

In order to attract and retain quality employees, equitable compensation management is needed as part of a total rewards management framework. A competitive base salary structure design is a key component of this framework, and several important factors and design elements have to be considered for such a salary structure design.

Designing and implementing an effective base salary structure framework reflects an organisation’s value of the business and complements any variable rewards in accordance with the market environment. This also allows the organisation to be perceived by employees as fair.

  • apply the concepts of designing an effective base salary structures in accordance with the principles of competitive and equitable compensation management
  • use the tools of designing and implementing the effective base salary structures to help maintain business sustainability and maintain equitable compensation framework
