Ms Yati Moktar obtained her MSc in Human Resources & Global Leadership Graduate from Baruch College, City University of New York in 2009, and BSc in Business Management from University of Bradford in 2003. She completed the ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) programme and received certification from the Workforce Development Agency in 2016.
She has more than 20 years of HR experience, largely focusing on human resource management and delivering HR services in established organisations that she worked in. The experiences from performing to supervising and managing the various HR management functions have given her good knowledge and insight to the policies, procedures and systems required for effective deliverables. She became involved in human resource development in the later part of her HR career, which deepened her appreciation of the importance and value of learning and development in shaping an organisation’s culture, equipping the people with knowledge, skills and attitude to achieve work efficiency and effectiveness.
Her interest in training started in 2004 while conducting onboarding sessions, work coaching sessions and short HR-related in-house training. The exhilaration of sharing knowledge with others spurred her into developing the content of the inhouse training tasked upon her. She pursued ACTA programme to better understand adult learning and formally hone her skills in developing and conducting training programmes. A firm believer of lifelong learning, Yati is passionate about sharing her knowledge, skills and experience with individuals in any opportunity possible. A committed learner herself, she puts on the learners’ hat when developing her training content.
